Paul Fitzpatrick

With more than 35 years of investment banking experience with a concentration in the hospitality industry, Mr. Paul Fitzpatrick has been responsible for transactions in excess of $1 billion during his career and been a principal in several significant mixed use developments in the Northeast. Up until December 2007 he was a Senior Managing Director and Founder of the Hotel Transactions Group at Cushman & Wakefield, working from C&W's World headquarters in New York City. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Fitzpatrick was a Senior Managing Director at CB Richard Ellis Hotels in New York City where he represented major hotel owner/operators in facilitating purchase and sale of hotels throughout the Unites States and the placement of debt and equity.

Mr. Fitzpatrick began his Investment Banking career with Merrill Lynch where he was licensed as a securities and commodities broker and subsequently moved to the Investment Banking Division. After a stint working on Corporate Private Placements, he moved into the Real Estate arena and was involved in many of Merrill's early activities in Mortgage and Sale Leaseback transactions. He was the lead US player interfacing with ML's wealthy private European clients looking to make real estate investments in the US. He collaborated with Continental Bank in Chicago to create a fund for European investors interested in US agricultural land investments. As a senior member of ML Health Care Funding Group he was part of the most successful investment banking group on Wall Street in terms of total debt raised to finance hospitals and other medical related facilities throughout the US. Paul left ML as a Vice President to become one of the founding Principals of Eastdil Health Care Funding, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastdil Realty, a premier Real Estate Investment Banking boutique firm. In 1980 Fitzpatrick Associates Inc. was formed to provide personalized investment banking services to owner/developers in the hospitality industry. Mr. Fitzpatrick was the President of the Garden City Hotel Company and served as the General Manager of the Four Star Garden City Hotel located in Garden City, N.Y. during its' initial 18 months of operation.

He’s a graduate of Fordham University and is active on the Boards of Directors of several non-profit organizations.
